About the Site
We cannot understand the world we live in without knowing the history of the First and Second World Wars. By synthesizing a vast array of facts, figures, first hand accounts, primary sources and academic books and articles, World War and Holocaust Remembrance hopes to demonstrate that the period of 1914-1945 was one Thirty Years’ War which has shaped the present more than any other 30 year period in history. Since the Great War is the first link in this causal chain, it is vitally important that we understand its causes and consequences and how the First World War produced the Second World War and the Holocaust. If we are to understand the present and shape our future, we must never forget the past.
